![]() I drive between 70 and 100 miles a day on average. I have almost 16,000 miles on my Bolt, haven't had the need to DCFC*. Everyone, and I mean everyone here will tell you a Bolt without DCFC is hobbled/broken/worthless. ![]() So, I wanted to save the $750 which I think really was going to cost me $560. I am the 1% that thinks the Bolt is a bit overpriced, though price slashing is making it what 'I' consider it to be worth. I am one of them, and yes, already took a beating for 5 months from for ordering my Bolt the way I wanted it. ![]() I REALLY loved the slate gray color on this one, though-just a tinge of blue.įrom what I remember reading here, 99% of Bolt owners commute with the car and can survive without DCFC. I may have to get a '16+ Volt and leave my long range EV dreams for another season. I went to plug in and lo and behold, not only is there no orange cover, the CCS holes are smoothed over like a Conehead's bum crack! I don't know if they are going to be willing to fetch another Bolt, especially since I'm not going to add $750 (wife was at her limit anyway). Then, also fortunately, I broke out the included EVSE, even though I didn't need to charge, especially at 4mph, and even though it was tie wrapped and not mine yet. I said to myself, I should take a photo later and tell the dealer about that one. First I thought the orange cover had come off the CCS port. Fortunately my wife balked and they let me take it overnight before signing. Reviving old thread to say I was bit by this just now! I thought I had confirmed that no Bolt EVs were made without CCS capabilities (wrong), so I had a dealer drive down one from 150 miles away, sight unseen.
